THE STORY
It all started in the winter of 2016 . . .
when I saw neighbors walking their dog in the snow in front of the historic Colvig House. On the spur-of-the-moment I took a picture of the scene. That photograph inspired me to develop a series of images of Jacksonville, Oregon, which I have been posting on Facebook monthly for the last three and a half years. The series has now been made into a book.
There are books with photographs showing what life in Jacksonville looked like from 1850 to 1900 as a gold rush town. A Year in Jacksonville shows what life here is like in the present.
